A Weekly Slice of Something Sweet, All Content, Blog

And we’re back!

Happy Sunday once again everyone and welcome back to another issue of Something Sweet!

The eagle-eyed among you may well have noticed that we didn’t have an issue last week because I was frantically getting ready to reveal the result of my collaboration, The Greatest Showpiece, at the fifth birthday party of my godson Jacob.

Suffice to say that I survived the experience and am now back with yet another helping of all of the latest news from the world of cake – I do hope you missed me as much as I missed all of you.

In this week’s issue, find out which caking superstars have been nominated for this year’s Cake Masters Magazine Awards, we take a look at this weekend’s hottest cake event – the Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show and slightly closer to home, I’ll tell you a little about where I am off to later this morning – which should explain why I have published a little bit earlier than usual…

In the collaboration station this week, I am sharing the result of the first ever Mr Baker’s Blog collaboration, there’s a little prod to remind you of a fantastic opportunity to win with Renshaw and we find out which cake artists were chosen by Go Hen for their annual round up of The UK’s Top 50 Wedding Cake Designers 2018.

Of course, we are also jam-packed with lots of beautiful cakes and bakes, including pieces from Daisy Cakes and the Tattooed Bakers, and we find out who has scooped that all-important Cake of the Week!
