A Weekly Slice of Something Sweet, All Content, Blog

It’s time for Something Sweet: The Tour Special!

As you may have noticed, for the last week-and-a-half, I have been touring the UK, meeting up with lots of amazingly talented cakers and filling my days with cakey fun.

This week’s issue of Something Sweet: The Tour Special looks back on an incredible nine days, ten towns and cities, 1420 miles of driving and more talented individuals than I can count…

In this week’s issue, check out which one of my tour buddies has been named the Global Sugar Artists Network Artist of the Month for August, we tackle a bit of a head-scratcher from the NISE team and, after my incredible day at the Renshaw Academy, we preview their upcoming classes from a wealth of incredible caking talents.

We also have an incredibly moving and poignant collaboration, we cast an eye over some of the entries in the first week of the #GBBOTwitterBakeAlong and, of course, find out who scooped this week’s Cake of the Week!

I also have to say a massive thank you to all who were part of making my tour such a wonderful experience, including Rose and Jamie Dummer, the Bolton Food & Drink Festival team at Bolton Council, Michael Caines, Nadiya Hussain, Luis Troyano, Simon Wood, the Baking Nanna, Rob Allen, Andrew Nutter, Mike Harrison, Steve Royle, Kay Gajra, James Martin, Julie Rogerson, Zoe Hopkinson, Richard Eckles, the staff of QA Manchester, Etty van Urk, Kayleigh McDonough and the rest of the team at Renshaw and Renshaw Academy, Emma Jayne Morris, Hayley O’Beirnes, Sarah Bray, Laura Dodimead and anyone else I have missed in my sleep-addled state!

Oh, and don’t forget to scroll right to the end, as I do have a little tour souvenir to give away to one lucky subscriber!

Click here to find all this and more in issue 29 of Something Sweet: The Tour Special.

Enjoy… x
