Before we get cracking previewing this week’s issue, I wonder if you will indulge me for a moment. This week, I discovered that Mr Baker’s Blog has been shortlisted for the UK Blog Awards!
I think they struggled to know where to place me – I mean, I don’t exactly follow a standard format do I? Larger-than-life projects, quirky recipes, cake tutorials, interviews, event coverage, class previews, product reviews and whatever else I can squeeze in..?
However, the powers that be have decided that ‘Best Culinary Blog’ category was the best fit.
If I am to proceed to the finalist stage, it is now down to your votes. So, pardon the cringe-factor for a moment, but if you enjoy reading Mr Baker’s Blog and feel like you would like to give me your vote, then you can find the voting form at this link.

And now back to our regularly timetabled features… 😉 It’s been a quiet week on Mr Baker’s Blog this week and it seems like it has also been a somewhat quiet week on planet cake too.
However, there was one big excitement, with the launch of the new look Pretty Witty Cakes from Suzy Witt – naturally, I got in touch and asked her to tell us all about it.
We also have two adorable wintery cake toppers from Cake Dutchess and Xenia’s Cake Creations for you use to decorate your Christmas cakes this year, two ridiculously stunning collaborations and a showstopping creation from Janette MacPherson Cake Craft.
