A Weekly Slice of Something Sweet, All Content, Blog

Time for a break from the CI prep and a helping of Something Sweet!

Hey hey, cake chums! Welcome to another issue of Something Sweet, your weekly slice of all the latest news from the world of cake!

Like I said a few days ago, it has reached the time of year when our schedules go a bit mad – certainly in the UK – as the biggest weekend of our cake calendar draws ever closer, and like many of you, I am hard at work on my pieces for this year’s Cake International.

In fact, in this week’s issue, I’m telling you a little bit more about what I’ll be up to over the Cake International weekend, as well as teasing you with a bit more of what you can expect from the rest of the talented people who will be appearing – including another amazing Chocolate Magic installation from Daniel Diéguez. At such a busy time of year, I thought it was also the perfect time to talk baking, psychology and mental health.

We cast an eye over the finalists for 2018’s cake decorating product of the year, check out some more fabulous and FREE Halloween tutorials, this time from Cupcake Artist of the Year finalist, Sarah Bray of Daisy Cakes for Saracino and one from me, for Renshaw.

I share the newest project from Lindy Smith of Lindy’s Cakes and, of course, we’ll be checking out some amazing cakes and bakes, including this week’s WOW Cakes and our Cake of the Week!

Also featuring: She Who Bakes, BuBakes, John Whaite, Cake Masters Magazine, Cake Dutchess, Cakes by Leni, Cakes by Sharon, Truly Scrumptious Cakes by Design and Avalon Cakes School of Sugar Art.

As always, find all this and more in issue 35 of Something Sweet from Mr Baker’s Blog – click this link to head there now.

And we’re back!

Happy Sunday once again everyone and welcome back to another issue of Something Sweet!
